Syracuse basketball recruiting: SU reportedly offers 3-star forward Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree

Syracuse offered three-star, Class of 2017 forward Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree, on Monday, according to a report by D1Circuit. The offer came after SU head coach Jim Boeheim watched the 6-foot-8, 200-pound Cosby-Roundtree in a workout, per Syracuse.com.

“He was a surprise for us last year and he’s getting better,” Carl Arrigale, Cosby-Roundtree’s high school coach told Syracuse.com. “We didn’t think he would be able to help us last year and he played on our varsity as a sophomore.”

Cosby-Roundtree has garnered interest from Penn State, Temple and Villanova, per Scout.com. In the Class of 2017, SU has offered six other players, including two other forwards and Quade Green, Cosby-Roundtree’s teammate at Neumann-Goretti (Pennsylvania) High School.

Neumann-Goretti is the same high school that former Syracuse basketball players Scoop Jardine and Rick Jackson attended. Current football player Jamal Custis played both football and basketball at Neumann-Goretti.

SU currently has no committed players in the Class of 2017.
